Hey guys.  I messed around with a microphone last week and created my own radio show.

Interpol

Lloyd, did you ever check out Interpol?  Their new record just hit this week and their creepy channeling of late-80s gloomy Brit-rock is starting to remind me that you dig that kind of thing.  Also they rock.

Most of what I'm really enjoying these days isn't out yet.

You remember 90s alt-metal band Helmet? Their lead singer formed another band, and when it came time to make a record, he thought "you know what's a catchy name? HELMET!" So there's a new Helmet record due October. It's pretty good.

I've also been totally crazy for MF Doom. He's got a lot of stuff out right now (under the names Viktor Vaughn and MadVillain) but the next MF Doom record will be "MM Food". A pre-pre-pre-release was leaked earlier this year, but that sent MF Doom back to the drawing table to do more work on the album. The leak is amazing, so the finished product will probably blow minds.

I've also heard that the new Bjork is pretty good, but haven't bothered to grab it yet. If you haven't heard, there are no instruments on the record: it's all human voices. Noise-freak Mike Patton, beatbox wizard Rahzel, and Japanese beatbox legend Dokaka contribute.

Other than that, the new Beastie Boys album isn't bad, Morrissey has a new one out, and there's always Now That's What I Call Music Vol. 16.
